From Design to Production
We build various kinds of packing for artworks: from simple crates for shipping, special museum climate crates, up to special crates and structures, created just for specific uses.
All crates can be equipped with shock/vibration sensors, no overturning devices and data logger pens. Crates of all kinds are available according to specific needs.
We cooperate with an engineering firm with which we design, certify plan and develop structures for specific movements, supports for shipment and movement of particular artworks or projects that require specific needs.
Examples of special transports and projects realized by our engineer and specific structures built by our carpentry department:

- metal structure, with bottom bars adjustable to fit in containers, for shipping crates, containing fragile/glass oversize artworks,
- metal structures for A frame/crates for inclined transport of oversize artworks, tilt angle adjustable, outriggers, stiffening bars against twisting.
-boardwalk/footbridge for transit of the artwork “Il IV stato” by Pelizza da Volpedo, and for transit of one glass plate of 1.000 kg. (1,1 TON US/UK) and technicians. Bridge built after control certificate and technical acceptance test for 2.500 kg. (2,46TON UK/2,75 TON US)
- helicopter transfer of the artwork “Obelisco” by Arnaldo Pomodoro to Vittoriale degli Italiani, Gardone Riviera;
- undercarriage for load distribution/balance for one artwork by August Rodin in compliance with the bearing capacity of the venue floor.
